went to morton's @ oriental hotel today. Omg i fucking love the interior of oriental hotel! its REALLY really very very beautiful, it looks like my dream hotel, when i have photos i will show it here..

I really think it's very pretty! this photo was taken in the hotel conference room in Berlin, where we had all our choir practices in Germany before going on to Bremen.. I remember singing in the cold and having my throat all dry and scratchy and finding it hard to hit the high notes coz of the dry weather. And we would practice late into the night without realising cuz it was still bright day light outside.. Germany is a strange place (different latitude la, yes i know.) This wasnt the hotel we stayed in of course, more like just a poster hanging in the conference room. Every time i'll stare at it during prac and imagine myself there.. so pretty! I really like the 'open corridor' concept (came up with that name myself heh) where guests at the lobby can see the lobby and all the rooms.. I guess it reduces privacy, but it really looks very nice from the lobby up. Oriental Hotel is exactly like that! So chio...

Brings back good ol Germany memories.. i dont miss germany as much as i miss korea, i guess when i was there didnt have as much fun as i should cuz of the stress of competition. maybe next trip there will be better :)

Anyways got a skinning from bubu for being 20minutes late. i was SO not 20min late! more like, 10?? And she had to go on and on for 10min abt me being late. like she never late before like that, bleahhhhhhhhhh.

Morton's was GOOOOOD man. oh god. i was drunk after like, 1 cosmo martini so lame!! my alcohol tolerance is really damn low. couldnt really walk straight and started talking very loudly, in the middle of posh morton's bar! ahaha. and the free flow filet mignon sandwiches were like, mmmm good :) too bad i was in the loo when they came one round. i had 1 less sandwich than ginny and bubu! damn it. ahahah. but 10 bucks for a martini itself is alr very cheap, geng he kuang got free sandwiches.. wahahahah. cool sia. i wanna go there again. bao i go with u next time ok :) wanna try the appletini, ginny's had chocolate powder around the rim of the martini glass ooh! so cute.

Then after that we went to the V tea room in esplanade for some good European style tea cakes. wah. freaking expensive lah. 15bucks for a small slice of cakey. and i think it just killed my throat totally. baileys irish cream tea cake with very coffeeish sauce dripped all over. but really nice decor and brightly lit (im sick of dark dining places after working at you-know-where), and super sweet and friendly staff with very exaggerated dining pieces and trolley with all sorts of European utensils and all.

After that short walks to the outdoor performance area and esplanade rooftop before heading off to starbucks with ginny for green tea frap and heart to heart talk. its been a long time since ive had such a nice chat!!! was v happy and satisfied after that, haha. i love my comfort zone and my friends inside :)
