bu is still the same bu i know!

even though we met up last week, today was the day where we actually sat down and talked for more than the hour last week :P and yes she's still the same... never changed! nice to eat thai exp and catch up on good old times, seems like they never end :)

im really grateful for all you girlfriends' support, touched and feeling loved. like a bra. haha. :P but i guess i made a decision that yes, i will give him another chance and we'll see how things go from there, aight?

and yes ngeesh. rampant sex satire in the korean movie. Not real sex per se, but just the satire of it - its quite amusing :P

there's tuition tmr, 730 to 930. im gonna be bushed. and i hate sculpture square. they freaking screwed up my cip hours. gave me 31 hours instead of the 45 im supposed to get. the difference is like what, 15?? its as though i wasnt there for one whole day! Grr. so irritated. blur janet and quitter ym. its so hard to get decent cip hours nowadays.

dinner + king and the clown + drinks after.

I think i meet ginny too often liao, 2 days in a row + tues with bubu coming up. haha. anyway king and the clown was NICEEEE!! i love the clown. he's so androgynous - handsome/pretty! more pretty though. but really very cute. haha :P and the story.. well it was pretty good until the last part when it ended abruptly leaving you with that 'huh?' feeling but overall good eye candy. and the jesters' satire of the king and his rampant sex was quite amusing :P

but after the movie i was still very confused about the rship btw the 2 main clowns. were they gays? brotherly love and concern? very hard to tell.. maybe someone go watch the movie n gimme their point of view. hah.

More toyota-ism: (sorry im jus very inspired by what i read)

base your management decisions on long-term philosophy, even at the expense of short term financial goals.

scratching the surface, this sentence feels like its just stating the obvious. Y'know, like think long term, be farsighted. But the truth is that many people are unable to act, think or behave that way. Short term financial goals are right in your face, and its hard to cast it aside without worry.

take toyota's development of one of the first mass production hybrid cars. credit-suisse people calculate that it would take toyota 300,000 Prius cars a year for a while before they can actually break even all the investment that they placed into developing the car. That seems like a heavy hand, and a tough investing call. A wound to the finances.

but then, while developing the car, toyota has also managed to use the opportunity to train up their young engineers, to let them get a taste of the whole development process, working under pressure. and thats where they gain the necessary experience and expertise, to bring them on to leading toyota in the future. more than the finances, the process is more important than the final result. the human resources are, without a doubt, the most important in the organisation.

toyota also had very charismatic leaders, who could inspire the team to work for them, push hard for a tough deadline (2 years to develop a completely new car with the hybrid engine, compared to 5-6yrs for american cars), which they eventually even beat by 2 months! Again, its the human touch more than anything else - more than the technology, more than the manufacturing.

Technology is just, technology. But with that human touch, it has the potential to blossom into innovation.

please read the article on pg 24 straits times today.. about tiger airlines. i think it truly embodies cost savings and the principle of budget.

budget and cost is not something that you do to your product to produce the kind of cost savings that you desire. its more of an organisational behaviour - all of rank and file need to have that as their mentality before cost savings can succeed. only when everyone, from pilots to your ceo and your ordinary staff, have that mentality then it can succeed.

and i think tiger airways, based on the article, really follows the cost principles well. As i once heard from the ex-CEO of valuair, if you wanna be a budget airway, do it all the way. you cant please too many people at a time. by having frills, 'listening to the customer' too often and keeping to costly strategies, you're already moving away from your original intentions of having a budget airline in the first place.

customers know you are a budget airline. they're not gonna be concerned if you depart from t1 or t2 or budget terminal, or if you actually have inflight catering. they will, ultimately, look at that price tag and choose.

Cos you made me see how blind i was. that the guy i thought i knew was really a jerk at heart. if you didnt tag, he wouldnt have confessed and i would be kept in the dark about this. I really, honestly appreciate you for telling this.

And i also realised something else. that my world wont crumble even if a guy was missing. i could still go on, even stronger, and unlike the way i had previously thought, i wouldnt fail and fall apart. i would still be there, even after what was left was long gone.

i'm still kind of lost for words though. it's time to be in the company of ginny, bubu, shiwei, xaves, val (Whos in korea already! argh), lyn n phuong, york, and all those who care.

under the request of ms rina ting, who commented that i havent updated my blog in AGES, i shall do so now! :) touched?? hahahaha

anyway yes. i just got home from sch, from asoc marketing meeting.. photoshopping time! its the worse really cos tim our male model's pimples are really hard to remove, even by the cloning or blurring or healing tools. ooh but he has a really really hot bod, next time i post up his pics. everyone will gush! serious! :P

before that, met up with everyone! ie rina fel jingli hongyi keith ho (!!) sammie wannie. yup belated bday dinner for hongyi, it was great meeting everyone again! hee.. and at serangoon gardens, of all places! had trouble finding the place, and almost had trouble finding parking lots. in the end jus anyhow whack, part infront of someone's house.. haha

and at 9pm sharp we suddenly realised that we were all alone in the restaurant. oh then we realised that match had started and everyone gravitated to nearby restaurants with screens, haha.. so yeah i left for meeting lor.

when i was leaving the sch at 12 plus it was quite scary cos all the doors were locked! and i panicked cos it was like being trapped u know. finally found the exit and only glass door open near the cca room and 'escaped'. bleh.

going for a 2d1n faci workshop thingy tmr.. then it's back to work on wed.

my dearie is sick though :( get well soon okie! drink more water! take panadol! rest more! :)

havent blogged in ages! i know, work has caught up and besides that ive been lazy. Weekday nights after work has been meetings + dinners with friends and that saps the most out of me already, especially the meeting part.

bro lent me this SIMS SUPER PACK that has all 8 expansions of sims 1! i love it! hahaha, played it until 4am last night.. i know, im crazy. but its so so fun :) yayee. hee.. other than that nothing much has really happened though. zm came over and we are making a model of his bike! so cool right! haha, his honda super 4. bought all the paints and started work today - the 2 wheels + chain are done, now we're left with a million of the other parts. haha..

oh yes. met up with valerie last week too, it was damn exciting cos we siam-ed one $1.90 sushi plate at sakae!! haha hid it under the bento so nobody saw and they short-counted that plate. Imagine! we should have stuffed a red plate there instead, SHITE. haha.. :P but its not the $ of cos, its the thrill of trying to evade the authorities, if you put it that way.

next week meeting ginny, having tuition and also probably some other stuff for asoc or smux. + work too. cheer me on everyone! :P
