I miss mugging

ok for all those in SMU now, you will probably KILL me if you see this.. Probably 4th, 5th week into school now, and all the projects/presentations/reports/readings/homework/tests are already killing you. I feel your pain.

i hate to say this but yes, i am a true blue MUGGER TOAD. i miss mugging. aside from partying about twice a week here, and going on weekend trips, i have absolutely nothing else to do in the dorm. I yearn to be able to research on a project, to do some homework, and yes i dread saying this but to study for an exam. test. anything! all i do everyday (when there r no parties and i just get back from german class) is to sit in front of my laptop, play some games (insaniquarium is top of the list now, haha) for hours on end, maybe cook some dinner, wash my dirty laundry (in private) and boil some water.

i mean, there is so much social life one can take. those who know me know i am a sick introvert (ok lah maybe not sick) and stick closely to those that i know better - unfortunately they are all at home now so i have no choice but to expand the social circle. of course this is good, but im kinda sick of the partying and drinking. i dont mind the social mingling but i think its pretty bad for health - i hate getting up in the morning with a bad throat cos it just means i cant have nutella with bread for breakfast. and the bread/food/all other stuff here expires pretty soon so once i grocery shop i must make sure i cook within the next few days.

ok i am just rambling. Today there is a party at the student bar (think frujch, just that its a proper bar kinda atmosphere) complete with vodka shots for 1 euro, and a karaoke (???) contest. i didnt really wanna go cos

1) im already in my pyjamas (pajamas??)
2) it takes me 20min to walk down to the bar, and another probably 30 to walk up back to the dorm
3) reda (my hommie!) isnt going and i am terrible at small talk
4) andrew just got a job offer from united airlines to be resource planning (aka plan the routes of the planes. fucking cool lah! i totally want that kind of OM job.) and i am terribly jealous (he's an MBA though) and i want to be like him so i decided to stay in the dorm to do some research about that, as well as to sign up for MORE courses in WHU so as to occupy my time.

currently im doing 6 courses in total. haha.. on a whim i decided to sign up for 2 more. it was 4 at first. and the list:

1. operations strategy (only 4 lessons!)
2. Production and service operations management
3. Logistics management (5 lessons!)
4. Innovations management (think twc...)
5. European economic integration (not sure if i can handle this cos its econs.. but i will try)
6. Lufthansa lecture - airline management (this one's real cool but they only take 40 students so i dont know if im too late in signing up or not)

i wanna join SQ to do resource planning too. but i dont think they want me. or any airline, to do resource planning cos its so damn cool like doing all the route thingies that we do in BP and QM. hahahah.. i am naive.

ok this is so obviously a post out of boredom. SMU peeps, please dont kill me......
