Wednesday, September 10, 2008 A phrase i've heard a lot about lately during my job search is the idea of a "dream job". Some of my friends already have their dream jobs, some came close to getting it but chose an alternative path instead, some don't know what their dream job is, and some know it but have yet to arrive at it. So, today I shall share what my dream job description is. Basically, at the current moment, it would sound something like this: The purpose of this position is to help build an airline's future network. You will cover the following aspects of the network planning process, long term planning, scheduling, slot management and disruption management. Key responsibilities include: •Preparing business plans for potential new bases in liaison with finance. •Evaluating and forecasting potential routes. •Preparing airline's schedule and managing its slot portfolio. •Support the revenue management department providing revenue analysis through short term flight control, longer-term event planning and strategic inventory amendments. The Finance Representative will be working in the regional finance team supporting the Supply Chain, Logistics and Customers Centres in APME, with responsibilities that are specific to a cluster of countries, as well as regional responsibilities for specific areas where he/she will the subject matter expert/coordinator; Coordinate the annual business planning process; Support the business in understanding their cost structure through analysis of fixed and variable costs, working capital and capital expenditure; Support business decision-making through meaningful monthly reporting and management information improvement projects; Support the economic evaluation and scenario/option analysis of capital projects and commercial arrangements and challenge proposals to help identify opportunities, risks, financing, tax and accounting issues; Ensure compliance with the Global Transfer Pricing guideline through regular reviews and providing advice on any new supply arrangements between affiliates; Drive overall continuous process improvement and standardization by leading or participating in any finance process improvements projects; Provide finance inputs for Supply Chain, Logistics and Customer Centres related processes, including identifying business controsl and issues.

The Tai-tai will be working in the home management team supporting the Poker-playing, Dinner-making and Children-spousal Care centre in HOME, with responsibilities that are specific to a cluster of top floor, ground floor, back garden and dog kennel, as well as the local responsibilities for specific areas where she will be the subject matter hoover. Coordinating the annual family holiday planning process; Support the household in understanding their cost structure through analysis of fixed and variable costs, working capital and capital expenditure; Support business decision-making through meaningful monthly tea and biscuit sessions. |
