after 2 days of bingeing, i am SERIOUSLY FAT. its time to go on a post-cny detox and get rid of all the dangerous pineapple tarts, toxic keropok and basically all the rubbish that entered my system.



actually not rubbish lah. i ate a lot of good food, just that in too huge a quantity. So yup.. time to get rid of it.

its too early to make a judgment call on the job, but i've had a revelation about myself: i'm seriously under-read, under-exercising, not well travelled enough, not sociable enough. this has got to be improved.

on another note, i realise that i tend to learn things from the people around me, especially if they become some sort of a role model to me. like the more i hang out with someone, esp if the person is someone i admire a lot/think is very zai, the more i would pick up habits or cues from the person. the most notable examples would be exchange, where a couple of friends left quite a deep impression on me. they certainly got me to read more, shore up my general knowledge, travel further, pick up new things, get fitter etc. but then after exchange ended, the effect lasted till the end of the year (about 6 months) and then died off. Haha.. i'm such a sucker.

i need to find new role models! and new hobbies! cooking wont do jas, i'll just get fatter! Haha..

Anyone wants to open their house to CNY visiting?? :) I'm free! haha

started work on thursday! and it really has been very fulfilling and challenging thus far - of course the beginning is always like this, lots of reading up to do, learning, steep curve ahead. but things look promising :) great colleagues, nice boss, dream job - what more can i ask for? i would say i'm lucky or heng, but i know yq would say sth else :P


now to find a hobby to occupy my time! any suggestions? my list of biking/golfing/pilot license doesnt look like its gonna come true any time soon so.. i need some new ideas man. haha..

I'm back from macau!

ok lah, didnt win at jackpot so i'm not a newly minted millionaire but it was fun! i dont understand why people tell me macau is boring, nothing to do.. when i still have places to go that i didnt manage to see! And i wanted to learn texas hold'em poker at the learners table at wynn casino but didnt have time too. Haha.. and i've yet to do the skywalk X at macau tower bcos i was too humji to stand at the edge of a tower only wearing a harness. so yes, i still have a to-do list in macau. till next time!

next week is an exciting week! starting work soon.. looking forward :D:D

Empty nest syndrome - school time version.

Today, school begins for almost all of my friends. And the feeling is so weird! Like i'm left out; like they all have school and i'm just not there. Haha.. first emo post of 2009. I'm imagining the school buzz, the greetings between long time friends who havent met since the last semester, the gossiping - who's with who, who's wearing what, who's gained weight, who's spotted a weird haircut.

Wait, wait. this cannot be. i havent even started work and i miss school already??? Damn.
